This is a great 1005HA Netbook. And 'fast enough to run everything you can find anywhere short of HD video. I use it in a business meeting to replace the card (Evernote). I have not done a real test of the battery, but I can say that all day at work and I do not even the power cord from the house.
What is not a substitute for a laptop if you want something more normal web browsing and document editing to do. This is a great 2 or 3 computers, but it is necessary not only for the PC in most cases.
I also upgraded to Windows 7 and it works very well. No complaints. The only problem is that no correct driver for your webcam (in Windows 7, it works fine in XP).
Problems (all minors) —
The action of the hinges is a bit 'tight and do little to help the tab that opens is a bit' small. This is a non-issue, unless you try to open, while walking (which could easily lead to a decrease).
The action of the mouse is a bit 'stiff, and it took some' getting used to. And 'good after a few weeks.
It 'also a fingerprint magnet … but this is nothing to worry about.
Until the interior of the new generation Intel Netbook (codenamed Pineview, Georgia) are the beginning of 2010, the 1005HA Netbook is easily the best purchase you can do, in my opinion. I looked at many other brands and the Eee PC build quality seems superior to all Acer, which seemed to be on par.
